The longest wait...

Before Moya, before Nysa, and finally before Delilice there was a doll. A doll that stayed concealed up to this point because even though I fell in love with him before the aforementioned, even though he was ordered and paid off before Moya he arrived after. I ordered him January 2013 (the very end of his order period) from a dealer. Mint on card this time round and it wasn't a horrible experience. As I believed the actual company the doll was coming from had fairly long waits I opted for a long layaway to make paying for him more comfortable as I was just recovering from Christmas and such. I'd never ordered from this company or dealer before so it was twice as exciting and terrifying.
The long layway passed. I had hoped the doll would have arrived at Mint on Card at this point. He had not. The doll company keeping me waiting was LoongSoul. He did not arrived until November. Over nine months wait. To make things worse there was a mistake on his paperwork so customs wanted to charge me £125. Thats over a third of what I paid for the doll including shipping. I argued with customs and with evidence provided by the very helpful and speedy Mint on Card, customs realised thier mistake. There was a very long and painful email silence before they admited this, but my little resin guy arrived at my mother's safe and sound and charge free!
I was so worried that I wouldn't bond with him by this point. But all worries and doubts dissipated when I opened the box.

I felt like they over did it on the tape just to spite me and make it harder to open!

A little bit battered, but the box is so beautiful. It's shiney soft feeling card. I love all the dainty little patterns. If you know me you'll know that I ofcorse approve of the colour scheme also.

 My little white tiger Ye. I loved all the default blushing and faceup so I wanted that. However to me the default outfit and wig didn't really suit so I didn't want those even though I got the wig for free anyway! I didn't want the default eyes either so I ordered some icey blue eyes for him. I asked Captured in Glass to make the pupil smaller also :) I wanted him to look more like an actual tiger cub.

Was a bit upset about the smudge mark on his arm, but didn't complain. First because apparently it's the more british thing to do! and secondly because I didn't want to send him back or anything. So I consider this a birthmark! I called this cute little thing Nero. Not really a reason why, just liked it. And Nero is very true to his instincts even though he was transformed from a real tiger and isn't one anymore. He'll only wear black and white. No colours as it ruins his camouflage!

"Gah!NO! EVIL!" *hisses*

 *wrestles with toy*
"I have you nowww!!!".... "you are a very squishy enemy... and cuddley..." *purrs*

"His nose is dry..."

Isn't it great when everything comes together ^.^

So, Tulie & Kajsa (SOOM Glot & Bygg) have been in a storyless place. Tulie since day 1 and Kajsa since I sold Beyla. They had personalities but thier backstory was a mystery. When SOOM released LG Turb & Roxan in May 2013, I knew I had to have one. Once I decided which I wanted my imagination sinked it's teeth in and a story emerged. This story included Tulie and Kajsa too and if I one day saw myself faced with another grey tiny I must have they could slip into the story too ^^ I'll explain after box opening...

 Either they make the box look huge or the box makes them look o so tiny!

 Bubblewrap pieces, outfit, wig and ooo free stuff (Skirts). I was intending to sell both but Aeryn wanted the 1 on the left!

 She has huge wings! But red is so pretty ^.^

 Pieces unwrapped? Check!

 I knew I'd only want 1 head but which was still unknown until I saw them in person, hence both having faceups. I picked the 1 with the fangs.

 Body ^^ Love the grey resin so much <3 Though must say the parts of the zippy case that hold the legs and body in place I find really annoying!

 I got the outfit just because it's so pretty. And the default wig. I haden't picked eyes for her yet so she had the pupiless spares that all the eyeless dolls wear!

 I did intend the default wig to be worn by her, but I just didn't like the way it looked on her in person. I tried all the spare wigs I had on her.

 I didn't really like any of them.

 So she was wigless, and not very happy about it. Then there was a brainwave! Delilice had a red and wig wig... and Roxan's default will maybe suit her better. The wig swap comenced!

 Delilice looked great and I was so very happy with how the red and white looked on Roxan. Now The wig was picked, I'd buy eyes for her in the very close future. All that was left was a name...

 There was a lot of possible name choices but in the end I chose Moya. Moya is the name of 1 of my favourite sci-fi series' characters; Moya is a living spaceship from Farscape.

 

I eventually decided to go with red eyes. Though sometimes I'm not sure if it's the right choice.

I love this girl so much, I think she's stunning, however I am biased ^.-

Moya is a living gargoyle. She was lost as a small child but was found by a witch. She didn't realise the witch was bad until it was too late. Magic kept her trapped in the witch's garden. This witch collected many living things to live in her garden. She called them her 'living statues.' When she found out Moya could turn things to stone she was thrilled. She forced Moya to turn all the creatures in her garden to stone. The last to be turned to stone was Kajsa, a unicorn. But Kajsa's magical properties enabled her to be turned to living stone just like Moya. After this the witch demanded the two of them turn everything she wanted into living stone. They continued this unhappily for a while. One day the witch kidnapped a child dream caller. The witch had bitten off more than she could chew though this time. The night before the dream caller was to be turned to stone, she controlled the witch's dream to a point that she was sleep walking with all her protective spells removed. The dream caller also invaded Moya's dream as a way to comunicate to her what she thought should be done. Moya agreed to her whims and that was the night the witch got turned to stone. All the 'living statues' were freed, most returning home. A select few only knew one home and that was with Moya.

So at the moment only 2 of the trapped creatures from the witch's garden have stayed with Moya, Kajsa the unicorn and Tulie the dream caller. Both for thier own reasons. There may be other creatures from the witch's garden that I just don't know about it ^^ I like having open stories as I don't want my doll collecting to be restricted or necessarily have an end. Slow down maybe, but not end. I decided I liked this way for doll collecting so the next group of dolls I also see as having an open story ^^

An answer for Loki!

Loki, my poor little Onocentaur was a lost character, with no story. October 2012 that all changed. Loki was a protector! 'Of what?' I hear you say.

SOOM (Yes they own me!) released another 'special Edition' doll.  Andes&Tona - Deertaurs

I had to have her. I even thought she was blushed perfectly, her faceup aswell! And those ears! It may have become apparent at this point that I have an obsession with cute ears! You must have noticed the freakishly big ears on my dog! 

I've never wanted a doll exactly how I see it on the website. She was different, she's stunning. I wanted her in white skin, so Tona. And I just wanted to tweak her style to make her how I wanted her to be. Different wig and eyes and I wanted her in more modern attire. She was to be bright and bubbley! Love random bright colours and girlie things! An accessory junkie! I wanted her to be an adorable oddity.

I decided pink hair was a must to match her pinky hooves and such. I ordered her some bright colourful girly things (made custom to accomidate her being a centaur). My problem now was eyes. I had no idea, until I watched some anime. In Wolf's Rain (one of my favourite series) theres a characted called Cheza:

 All red eyes with pink irises. Thats what my Tona would have. Where on earth would I find something so specific!? Captured In Glass makes custimised eyes. So I ordered them and as usual they were a pleasure to work with. The first attempt was wrong but I asked if they'd try again. They did and they got it right!

I had everything ready! Her clothes arrived as did her eyes. I picked out a wig and that was perfect. I made bracelett and thing for her. I'd never been so prepared for a doll in my life! She was going to be complete as soon as she arrived! I was really excited :) And so was her bestfriend, protector and soulmate.

He had all her stuff ready for her ^.^

And so did I ^^

Huge box ^^ But it wasn't just her in thier :) I honestly don't know why I did it. But in the waiting room there was another collector who couldn't afford to get 1 until a few weeks after the order period ended. I took pity and offered to buy one for her and she would pay me back and pay the shipping from me to her. I've never done anything like this before, but just thought if I could why not?

My little 1 was in the box on top ^^ I checked the other doll ofcorse just to make sure they were all ok :)

Lots of bubblewrap pieces and oh my gosh she was so pink! I'm not usually a lover of pink but this was an exception. She was a beautiful colour!

So we had her lovely body, beautiful head (love that faceup!), antlers and spare hands. Steadily and surely I put her together and dressed her and such.

She was perfect <3 I'd had that carebear top for ages and was so happy to use it. And I love teeny tiny hairclips and such. I have lots! I was so stupily happy with how the eyes looked. I was worried that I wouldn't like them on her and that I'd have to go back to the drawing board. I didn't want her to look evil enen though she is very mischievous. I'm hoping she doesn't. She doesn't to me.
I called her Satu. A name I'd wanted to use for a while. And I know I said she wasn't evil but she has been exiled from her people for starting a forest fire. She didn't mean for it to get out of control but she does really really love fire. Loki joined her in exile as he felt she needed his protection and because she's his best friend, regardless of her always ordering him around. He doesn't mind.

Satu loves Loki a lot, especially his ears!

The possitive of MS...

Possitive? of a desease that strips a person of health, selfworth, confidence, happiness, physical and mental ability, competence and independance? Well if you have a horrible person in your life determined to 'buy' your love, there is one yes!
It's no secret, me and my father don't have much to do with each other. This doesn't bother me. At the time of my diagnosis he came and saw me (*sigh*goodie...) But he did give me money, and a laptop and some of stuff that basically wasn't the top of the range as of 3 months previously that he wanted to replace or just wasn't impressive anymore! But nice shiney things are shiney, not complaining at all! And that money was going to buy 1 thing... DOLLIES! But omg, which one! :o
I could buy Oli & ellabell's big sister... Or Aeryn's little sister... a body for Salmcis (She was still a floating head at this time lol). I'd been eyeing up so many dolls! And then SOOM released him...

 SOOM Smokey - Onocentaur
I've lost his box opening pictures :( But I still have blank photos. Fantastic as I think he is so beautiful blank.

I'd seen the previously released centaur dolls and decided that when the right centaur came along I had to have them. Smokey was that centaur. I loved his little donkey ears. He looked so cute and a little dopey and naive. I had no idea who his character would be and I kept him blank for about a year! I'm a bad bad person! But after a while it became clear! I knew who he was and his character all because I bought his best friend and soulmate. I'll get to her later ^^

 I blushed the whole of his body. I wasn't going for anything complicated, just all grey with dark grey dusty, speakled markings. I wasn't sure why the black ribbon on his tail, but that became clear too. Hmmm maybe a photostory about it one day...

 But I left his face to my very talented friend and BJD Guru. I was so so happy with his face <3 I had all his clothes specially made (I wanted him to have some alternative leg warmers ^^). And I love his Captured In Glass eyes I ordered him and he has the Trachy default wig. I knew the default Trachy wig wouldn't be used by Mischa, but I liked the wig too much to not buy it ^^ I've also given him the default Bygg outfit that I'd been keeping by just incase (again, lost the photos of him wearing it!).

I love this little boy lots! I called him Loki (I'm smitten by the character from Thor and love the name!). I knew his quiet personality from the beginning and as a donkey he is naturally stubborn. His Donkey Centaur race are protectors of all other good Centaurs races. Thier nature to protect is genetic thus they like to protect thier friends, pets and family from childhood. Loki is still very young :)
